Grumpy?

Good morning world.  How do you start your day over when it does not start out good?  I have not thought about this in a very long time.  This morning I just could not wake up when the alarm went off.  Since the time change of daylight savings time, I have not been able to get up at a decent time.  So since this morning did not start out well, how am I going to start over?

I have heard of actually slipping back into the bed for about 10 or 15 minutes, then getting up again.  If the bedroom is upstairs, sometimes just going upstairs then back down will do it for some.  My bed is made so I will not be slipping back into bed.  My bedroom is downstairs off the living room, so no stairs to go up then back down.

My solution, spend some time in prayer and in the Bible.  Jesus soothes my spirit and mood.

"7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. " Ephesians 1:7-8 NIV

This alone should be reason for shouting and jubilee!  Sometimes my mornings are not all sunshine and roses.  It is those mornings, especially when I have not slept well, I need to remember that Jesus is all that matters.  What He did for us is all that matters.  Does not mean my family and friends do not matter, on the contrary, it means they are precious to me.  When I do not sleep well, I tend to get selfish and self-centered and grumpy.  Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercies which are new every day!

Be blessed and be a blessing,

Just some of my thoughts and actions,

Elizabeth
