Good morning world. Letting the family sleep in as we got home very late last night from our friends the Griswold's. We visited them after the Lincoln Reagan dinner for Douglas County in Ava. Ava is about an hour away, the Griswold's live between us and Ava and they are about 40 minutes away. Although I made it to Ava last night in about 40 minutes. It seems to be a habit now to measure distance by time. When I lived in Houston, Texas, I definitely did not measure distance by time. I lived in far north Houston, Spring actually, and worked off of the Southwest Freeway. If you know anything about Houston traffic at times that could be a 2 hour commute depending on what time I left home. And that was over 18 years ago.
Today is a work day full of "honey do's". Finishing up in the house for me before some friends come over. Then the guys are doing a number of things, both here and at the friend's house. Wonder how much they will get accomplished? I already have the bathroom swished and swiped, dining room table cleared off (the major catch all), laundry re-booted, coffee made and that is about it. After Patrick gets up and moving, I will be in our room cleaning as today's weekly chore is a going over in my room. And after trying to decide what to wear last night, it needs it.
Enjoy your day! Even though we will be working, I plan on doing just that, enjoying time. The only true commodity we have is time. Spending time with family and friends, what is better than that?
Be blessed and be a blessing,
Just some of my thoughts and actions,
Elizabeth
