Daily living

Since I missed yesterday, I am going to write 2 posts today.  I looked at my weekly schedule that I wanted to try and it needs some tweeking.  Here is what I had a week or two ago:

Monday:  blessing the house, laundry, baking
Tuesday:  ironing, mending
Wednesday:  laundry, menu planning, deep cleaning the bathroom and kitchen
Thursday:  bake bread
Friday:  laundry, dust, vacuum

I am going to move laundry to daily chores as I can keep up with it much better if I do at least 1 load a day.  However, it will show up on Mondays as I wash sheets and towels on that day.

Monday:  laundry, blessing the house
Tuesday:  ironing, mending
Wednesday:  menu planning, deep clean the bathroom and kitchen
Thursday:  baking day; bread, pies or cake, cookies, biscuits
Friday:  blessing the house, detailed vacuuming
Saturday:  AM clean my room

I added Saturday morning to deep clean my room as it sometimes becomes the catch all room.  Let me explain blessing the house.  It is spending only an hour or so doing the following things; dusting, vacuuming the main walkways, picking up each room as needed, sweeping and mopping.  I change this at times depending on what is needed.  I got this idea from Flylady.   Her list is slightly different with a couple of extra things on it, such as empty trash cans.  Those things are part of chores for my boys and are done daily.

Well, here goes my day!  Breakfast for the family, dishes, school with the boys, a load of laundry, swish and swipe the bathroom, make lunch, clean up kitchen again, one son to work, two sons to baseball practice, back to iron and mend, start supper, pick up working son, later pick up baseball sons, dishes again.  That is about my day for today.  If I have time, I need to work on Pat's Services paperwork.  And I want to get out to my studio. Wonder how today will actually go.  I will let you know.

"She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness."  Proverbs 31:27  NIV
