Are you Ready?

Yesterday was spent in West Planes grocery shopping among other things with Patrick and the boys.  Always an adventure that I love.  And I do mean that, I love grocery shopping with my family.  Not sure why, but I do.  Anyway, because of being tired when we got home, I put off baking pies that I need for later today till this morning.  Figuring the baking time, I knew I could have fresh pies by the time we needed to go.  HA!  I am making custard pies and need milk.  We do not buy milk at the grocery store.  We buy it from a local dairy fresh from the cow.  I forgot the boys had the last of milk with breakfast yesterday morning.  Talk about not being as prepared as I thought I was.  Remedy?  Wake up the one driving kid to call, then go get milk.

I often ask on my Facebook, "Are you ready?" and nothing more.  Being ready and prepared goes into so many levels.  From having all the ingredients for custard pies to having my heart ready for Christ.  This Easter morning, I cannot help but to make the correlation.  ARE YOU READY?  If Jesus Christ of Nazareth came back today, are you ready?  In the movie, "Left Behind", the pastor of the church was not ready and was left behind.  Even the most church going church lady, if her heart is not right with God, she is not ready.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven"  Matthew 7:21  NIV

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV

I pray this Easter morning for you and your family.  If you know Jesus and He resides in your heart, REJOICE!  He is no longer on the cross nor in the grave!  If you do not know Jesus,  I pray you will ask Him into your heart and forgive you of your sins.  For all of us have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Be blessed and be a blessing,

Just some of my thoughts and actions,

Elizabeth
