A week behind

I'm a week behind in posting anything.  Things got a little crazy with life in general and I haven't got a routine yet that has me sitting at my desk on the laptop.  Yet.  Did I stick to my eating plan?  No.  In fact, I have gained a coupe of pounds.  However, the past couple of days I've been using an app on my phone which does nothing more than take the place of me writing down what I've eaten for each meal and snacks, figured out the calories, or carbs.  I have done great with calories, not so great with carbs.

On Monday, I was sick feeling.  Most likely from eating a bunch of junk over the weekend.  We had gone to visit friends in Springfield to celebrate my youngest son's birthday.  He turned 14.  He wanted to go to CiCi's Pizza.  We did.  Unlimited pizza and dessert?  Hmmm.  He wanted to go to the movies that night.  We did.  Pop corn and soda on that menu.  All that and good meals and birthday cake.

Did I mention that my main motivation isn't to fit into the skinny jeans (I wear skirts most of the time)?  Nor to weigh my high school weight? Far too many years ago for that to happen. My Mother had a massive stroke and lived in a nursing home for 7 years, unable to talk but a very few words, unable to use her right arm, and wheelchair bound most of those years.  She had a lot of warning signs that she chose to ignore.  I can keep my blood pressure under control when my weight is down.  THAT is my main motivation.  Do I want to look better?  I'd be lying if I said I didn't.  But not for anyone but my husband.  I'm realistic enough to know that I will never be a size 5 or 7 again.

So what is my plan for today?  Eat a couple of eggs a little bit later.  I stayed up WAY to late working on our taxes last night.  Need a little more coffee.  Lunch will be some deer roast.  Supper will be something made with the deer roast for the family and probably just the meat for me.  I'll be drinking water after I have another cup of coffee.  I use a natural sweetener for my coffee and sometimes honey.

Well, I have to swish and swipe the bathroom still, get a load of laundry started, spend 15 minutes in my bedroom picking up.  For those who don't know, it's the Flylady way.  I've been dong Flylady routines on and off for years, 10 years or more.  Spending some time with the books, my husband's business, Pat's Services.

Have a blessed day,

Just some of my thoughts,
Elizabeth
